I consider it significant honor to be entrusted with the task of capturing the story of a couple embarking on the adventure that is married life. Because I don't want to turn that storytelling into a "job", I don't shoot a wedding unless I feel drawn to the story, almost to the point that I can't imagine not trying to capture it. My approach tends to be more photojournalist than glamour/fashion photographer, so while the couple will certainly look beautiful-and-radiant / handsome-and-dashing in my photos, they will also look like themselves! If you want perfectly posed, airbrushed shots, I am probably not your man. It shouldn't be hard to find a photographer skilled in that style. I might take a picture of the bouquet, but I will definitely take a picture of the paint thinner used as emergency nail-polish remover when the bride's manicure went south!
